Job Description

If you believe that the internet of cars will be the next big thing, you may be the one for High Mobility. We are looking for a Head of Business Development & Sales (f/m/x) in Berlin to lead our next phase of customer traction. We’re looking for a data-driven and well-spoken business developer who can plan and execute smart strategies that drive growth and awareness on the market. Our team has built High Mobility into one of the leading brands for vehicle-based data and are looking to make the next big leap - taking our customers and partners over the finish line into the emerging API economy.

As our new Head of Business Development & Sales, you will have two primary responsibilities: defining and executing successful sales strategies and building relationships with relevant customers and partners. If you combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and inform your decisions with a mix of data and results from your experience, you are the one for us. Like the rest of the team, our ideal candidate is driven by new technologies, has demonstrated success in complex environments and wants to solve connected car challenges. Sounds like you? 


Your Role

  • Develop and implement a sustainable sales strategy;
  • Design sales process cycles from the beginning to the end and continuously look for ways to improve it;
  • Manage our existing partnerships with vehicle manufacturers while continuously forming new collaborations;
  • Build a talented sales team around you that is extremely well organised and never misses to support our customers the best possible way;
  • Determine sales targets, budgets and forecasts, while keeping the team on track to achieve these;
  • Report sales activities, their impact and achieved successes to the founders and the company board;
  • Engage with the marketing team to help amplify our growth trajectory
  • Represent the company and the founders at high-profile events


Requirements

  • You have built and managed a business development team at a startup with global ambitions;
  • You are intelligent: you will be working with intelligent customers, so if you don’t know what you are talking about, they will notice;
  • You have experience in sales and business development in the automotive industry and/or API driven platforms;
  • Responsiveness with email. Flawless communication. Perfect follow-up. You know when to wait, when to apply pressure and when to put top priority to close;
  • You have experience in both B2B and B2C;
  • You write well;
  • You can describe technical problems in simple terms;
  • You are very serious about doing things right; people who know you respect your integrity (we will check);
  • Proven track record with demonstrable achievements;
  • Motivated to enable change and excited by our business model;
  • Fluent English and German;
  • Team player with outstanding communication skills.
